Create, Agree, Vote & Decide Trades
A complete member and commissioner trade-request tutorial.
Before creating a trade
Confirm:
- Both teams have approved, assigned members.
- Players and draft picks are current.
- The creator has Create A Trade.
- The league’s maximum pending/season trade limits are not reached.
- Players are trade eligible.
Import current rosters and League Info if assets are missing.
Create a trade request
- Open Trades → Create.
- Select the first team.
- Add the players and/or draft picks that team sends.
- Select the other team.
- Add the assets that team sends.
- Review salary, bonus, cap penalties, and calculated value information.
- Confirm no asset appears on both sides.
- Add the requested explanation or notes.
- Review the value difference and configured limits.
- Submit once.
The request can be rejected if it violates maximum assets, missing ownership, permissions, pending limits, season limits, or other league rules.
Team agreement
When Require Both Teams to Agree is enabled:
- Each involved member opens the trade.
- They review every asset.
- They select Agree.
- The trade remains unable to proceed until both required agreements exist.
Changing the proposal normally requires a new request; never agree based on an earlier asset list.
Vote on a trade
- Open the pending trade from NeonSportz or its Discord message.
- Review both sides and league rules.
- Choose Approve or Deny.
- Confirm the selection.
- If Lock In Trade Votes is enabled, the vote cannot be changed.
Allow Vote On Own Trades determines whether an involved member with Vote Trade permission can vote on their own proposal.
Vote visibility
- Anonymous Trade Votes: hides voter identity/decision from normal viewers.
- Private Pending Trades: only members with Vote Trade permission and the submitter can view pending trades.
League admins may have broader visibility for management.
Automatic approval
When enabled, a low-impact trade can be approved without normal voting only if it stays inside every configured limit. Limits can include:
- Maximum value per side.
- Maximum value difference.
- Maximum assets per side.
- Allowed draft-round range.
- Attribute ceilings.
- Positions excluded from auto-approval.
If any condition fails, the trade remains in the normal pending workflow.
Force a decision
Users with Force A Trade can apply the supported override.
- Open the exact trade.
- Confirm current assets and votes.
- Choose the force action and outcome.
- Read the confirmation.
- Verify the final status and Discord notification.
The force action does not move players in Madden.
After approval
- Execute the trade in Madden according to league rules.
- Wait for roster sync.
- Import both team rosters and free agents.
- Verify player teams, transactions, and contracts.
- Resolve any discrepancy before another trade uses stale data.
Common errors
- Cannot create: verify Create Trade permission and limits.
- Asset missing: import rosters/League Info and clear filters.
- Cannot vote: verify Vote Trade permission, private visibility, own-trade setting, and locked vote state.
- Stuck awaiting agreement: both assigned team members must agree when required.
- Approved but roster unchanged: the Madden transaction and follow-up imports are still required.
