Companion App Imports
Turn on the Companion App, configure the Export URL, and export each week.
Current availability
The Madden Companion App is available, and NeonSportz accepts its exports again. Madden leagues import through EA Connect, the Madden Companion App, or both at once.
EA Connect pulls the franchise from EA’s servers on request. The Companion App pushes it from your phone to a NeonSportz Export URL. They are not rivals: they carry the same franchise, and turning one on has never been what made the other work. New leagues start with both methods enabled. EA imports still require a connected EA account.
Turning the Companion App on
- Sign in to NeonSportz in a web browser.
- Open the Madden league.
- Open Administration → Import Center.
- Under Import Methods, turn on Madden Companion App.
- Copy the Export URL shown for your league.
EA Connect stays on unless you turn it off yourself, so a league doing both keeps its import button, stage list and per-week repairs and gains the Export URL and the export steps. The same Export URL appears in Administration → Settings.
Sending an export from the Companion App turns it on by itself, and never turns EA Connect off. Turning it on here is what shows you the Export URL before that first export.
Using one method only
Turn the other off under Import Methods. At least one has to stay on — NeonSportz refuses to leave a league with no way to import.
A league on the Companion App alone is not offered the EA import button, since there is nothing for the site to pull with. A league on EA Connect alone is not shown an Export URL, but an export sent anyway is still accepted and turns the method back on.
Methods cannot be changed while an import is running. Wait for it to finish. Nothing already imported is affected either way — the choice only decides where the next import comes from.
If Companion imports are switched off
NeonSportz can turn Companion pushes off — during an upstream outage, or if the app goes away again. While they are off, the Companion App cannot be turned on, the Export URL is hidden, and exports are refused. Import Center says so on the league it affects, and a league that had it on keeps that setting for when pushes return.
Your NeonSportz league and its imported data stay safe either way. Being switched off does not delete teams, players, schedules, statistics, members, or settings. Use EA Connect until pushes are back on.
What not to do
- Do not search for or install an unofficial replacement Companion App.
- Do not paste your NeonSportz Export URL into another service.
- Do not reset or recreate the NeonSportz league to fix an export problem.
- Do not repeatedly press an import button while an import is already running.
- Do not send EA passwords, Discord tokens, or activation links to support.
Configuring the Export URL
- In NeonSportz, open Administration → Import Center and copy the complete Export URL with the copy button.
- In the Companion App, open the exact Madden franchise connected to this league.
- Paste the URL into the app’s export settings, remove any surrounding spaces, and save.
Do not type the Export URL manually. One wrong character sends the export to no league. If the app asks for league abbreviation, console, or franchise ID separately, each value must match NeonSportz.
First-time export sequence
- League Info — establishes franchise identity and imports teams/standings. Wait for it to complete.
- Rosters, including every team and Free agents, establish the player baseline.
- Weekly statistics — export the complete available week, which also carries its schedules. Confirm games and box scores appear for the expected season, stage, and week.
NeonSportz waits for all eight parts of a Companion weekly export: schedules, team stats, passing, rushing, receiving, kicking, punting, and defense. Receiving only the schedule or one category does not complete that week. If data remains missing, re-export the complete week after rosters finish.
The first roster import tells NeonSportz what currently exists, so it establishes the baseline rather than reporting changes. Later imports compare against it to detect signings, releases, rating and attribute changes, injuries, and development-limit overages.
Normal weekly sequence
- After advancing, export League Info.
- Export the updated schedule.
- After each game is completed and synced to EA, export that week’s statistics.
- Export rosters when signings, releases, trades, injuries, ratings, positions, contracts, traits, abilities, or practice-squad status changed.
- Export free agents when the pool changed.
- Verify Import Center and the affected page.
Weekly stats button is disabled
The Companion App controls which weeks it can export. Confirm the franchise is in the expected stage, the week exists in Madden, games have been played or synced when required, you reopened the app after an advance, and you selected the correct franchise. Do not reset NeonSportz — a disabled Companion button is upstream of NeonSportz.
EXPORT FAILED
Read Import Center first. When NeonSportz refuses an export it now says why, on the Import Center page under the Export URL. The Companion App only ever shows “failed to import”, so that panel is the only place the actual reason appears. It names which part of the export was refused, how many times in a row it happened, and what to do about it.
The reasons it can show:
- That export came from a different franchise. The league selected in the Companion App is not the one this NeonSportz league is connected to. Pick the right franchise in the app.
- Exports arrived out of order. League Info first, then Rosters, then weekly stats.
- The Export URL in the app is out of date. Copy the current one from Import Center and replace the one saved in the app. Recognized old addresses can still produce this rejection notice, but their data is not imported.
- The Companion App could not read that data from Madden, the export was empty, or another export was still importing. All three are worth simply exporting again.
If Import Center shows nothing at all after an export, the app is very likely posting to an old Export URL — recopy it.
If you still need the checklist, work through these in order:
- Recopy the Export URL from NeonSportz.
- Confirm the NeonSportz league abbreviation and console.
- Confirm the Companion App is on the intended franchise.
- Export League Info again.
- Confirm the phone has stable internet access.
- Retry one export, not the entire sequence.
- Check Import Center to see whether data actually arrived despite the app message.

Data is stale after a successful export
Export only the affected part: rosters for contract and injury problems, free agents for pool problems, schedule for a missing game, the correct week of statistics for score problems. If the wrong season is shown, change the page filters and confirm League Info was exported after the advance.
