News pages

• News → Recent: published league news.
• News → My News: posts authored by the signed-in member, using the same featured-story, card, filter, and pagination layout as Recent.
• News → Create: rich-text post editor.
• Individual post: full content, media, and sharing actions supported by that post.
• Global News: recent content across supported leagues.

Create a post

1. Sign in as an approved league member and open the league.
2. Choose News → Create.
3. Enter a clear title.
4. Select a category if available.
5. Write the body in the rich-text editor.
6. Add supported images or media.
7. Enter the Summary used in news previews, and review formatting and links.
8. Choose Save draft to continue later or Publish to make the post public.
9. Open the resulting post and verify it on desktop/mobile.

Use short paragraphs, descriptive headings, and alt/context text in the body where possible.

Drafts and visibility

A draft needs a title; publishing also requires a summary and article body. Drafts do not appear in public news lists. Open News → My News to resume your drafts; direct draft links are visible only to the author and league administrators. Publish the post before sharing its link publicly or using Send to Discord.

Rich-text editor

The editor supports formatted content and media. NeonSportz removes unsafe or unsupported formatting.

If formatting matters:

1. Save a draft-sized portion.
2. Open the published preview.
3. Correct layout in the editor.
4. Avoid pasting heavily styled content from another word processor.

Upload images

Use the editor’s supported image upload.

• Use PNG, JPEG, GIF, or WEBP, up to 2 MB and 4096×4096 pixels.
• Compress large images before upload.
• Do not upload private or copyrighted content without permission.
• Wait for upload completion before publishing.

An uploaded image and a remote image URL can behave differently if the remote host blocks embedding.

Edit your posts

1. Open News → My News.
2. Select the post.
3. Choose the edit action.
4. Update the content.
5. Save.
6. Reopen the public post.

Authors can edit or delete their own posts. Members with Edit League/Admin can also edit, delete, and send other members’ posts to Discord.

Post to Discord

When a League News Channel is configured:

1. Publish and review the post.
2. Use the supported Discord-post action.
3. Confirm the bot message links to the correct post.

The author or a league administrator uses Send to Discord on a published post. A post can be sent once through this action; editing it does not reset its sent status. Delivery also depends on the bot’s channel permissions.

News categories

Select an existing league category in the editor, or clear the selection to leave the post uncategorized. Madden currently has no category-creation control; the Add category workflow is available for CFB dynasty news only.

Common problems

• Create is unavailable: sign in and confirm approved league membership.
• Image missing after save: wait for upload completion and retry with a supported/compressed file.
• Formatting changed: sanitized rich text removed unsupported markup.
• Discord post missing: configure/test League News Channel.
• Wrong author controls: sign in with the account that created the post.
