CFB Game Channels & Threads
Create/delete manually scheduled CFB matchup spaces and fix assignments.
Before CFB game spaces
- Set the correct season/week in CFB Game Administration.
- Enter every game manually.
- Confirm public Games.
- Approve members and assign teams.
- Configure default Discord game-space message.
- Verify bot permissions.
Create CFB channels
Use /cfbchannels create-games.
- Type the command.
- Fill required naming, privacy, role, and other options shown by Discord.
- Supply dynasty abbreviation when needed.
- Choose the intended week.
- Review.
- Send once.
- Inspect the category/channels and private access.
Requires Manage Channels.
Delete CFB channels
Use /cfbchannels delete-games.
- Confirm the week.
- Confirm category deletion behavior.
- Send once.
- Verify only intended content was removed.
The CFB command set does not provide the same documented update-games command as Madden. Manage changed matchups by correcting data and recreating/adjusting spaces carefully.
Create CFB threads
Use /cfbthreads create-games from the intended parent channel.
- Confirm thread permissions.
- Enter naming pattern.
- Complete optional privacy/role/week/message settings.
- Send.
- Verify participants.
Requires Manage Threads.
Delete CFB threads
Use /cfbthreads delete-games for the intended week. Confirm before sending.
CFB-specific troubleshooting
- No matchups: enter games manually for that week.
- Wrong record/team name: correct CFB Teams/Game Administration.
- Member missing: correct CFB team assignment.
- Changed matchup: edit the game, then adjust/recreate the affected Discord space.
- Wrong default message/timezone: edit CFB Administration → Discord.
