Settings, Customization, Reset & Transfer

Dynasty Settings

Open Administration → Settings.

Available information/actions include:

Invite URL with copy control.
Name.
Abbreviation.
Console.
Service expiration.
Calendar year/week are edited under Administration → Games.
Reset controls.

Name must use letters, numbers, and spaces. Abbreviation is up to five uppercase letters/numbers and affects URLs/commands.

Edit settings

Select the edit control beside the field.
Enter/select the new value.
Save.
Reload.
Check public pages and Discord commands.

Changing abbreviation requires updating saved links and command habits.

Rules

Open public Rules with Edit Dynasty/Admin permission, choose Edit, update rich text, Save, and verify. Sanitization removes unsupported unsafe content.

Discord Settings

Configure:

Discord Time Zone.
Default Game Channel/Thread Message used by /cfbchannels create-games and /cfbthreads create-games.

The timezone affects Discord event presentation, not stored game results.

Customization

Open Administration → Customization.

Dynasty Icon: maximum 2 MB.
Dynasty Banner: maximum 2 MB, 1920×250 recommended.
Dynasty Footer: maximum 2 MB, 1920×250 recommended.
Homepage Graphics 1–4: four additional optional uploads, maximum 2 MB each, using the same supported image formats as the original uploads. These appear in slot order below the homepage game/poll area. Empty slots are omitted; unavailable images show a fallback. Use the delete control to clear a slot. Existing icon/banner/footer images are unchanged.

Only administrators with Edit Dynasty permission can change these images.

Use PNG, JPEG, GIF, or WebP, no larger than 4096 × 4096 pixels. Upload one at a time, wait for completion, and verify mobile/desktop.

Reset Dynasty Teams & Games

Only the service owner can perform this reset. Open Administration → Settings → Reset → Dynasty Teams & Games and type RESET <abbreviation> exactly.

This permanently deletes every team and game across all seasons, including any saved game votes, team player statistics, and poll entries. Members remain but lose their team assignments. Conferences, news, rules, and other settings remain. Saved playoff and award records remain but lose deleted team references. The current calendar year stays unchanged and the week returns to Week 0. Check it under Administration → Games before rebuilding.

There is no undo and no separate news-reset control in the current Settings menu. Use Start next season in Games when advancing a season while preserving history.

Transfer

Install the bot in the destination Discord server.
Use a Discord account that administers it.
Sign in as the dynasty owner and open Administration → Settings → Transfer Discord Server.
Choose the exact destination.
Confirm.
Recheck Discord Settings and game-space permissions.

Common mistakes

Resetting to fix one game instead of editing it.
Transferring before the bot is installed.
Changing abbreviation without updating bookmarks.
Uploading an oversized banner.
Expecting CFB data to re-import after reset; it must be recreated manually.

Dynasty Discord notifications

In Administration → Discord, choose and save channels for week/season advances, current-week game results, published Top 25 rankings, and shared news. Leaving a channel empty disables that notification. Use Test saved channel to check bot access. The bot must be able to view the channel, send messages, and embed links.

Changing the current year/week announces the new period. New and corrected scores post for the dynasty’s current year and week, including CSV and screenshot saves; unchanged scores and historical results do not post. Publishing the Top 25 posts its rankings; published news is shared using its Share to Discord action. These updates do not ping members or roles. Existing calendar reminders remain available separately. Transferring the dynasty clears these channel settings; select channels from the new server before enabling notifications again.
