Awards & Suspensions

Weekly awards

Open Awards → Weekly for Players of the Week. The table uses season/stage/week context and can include conference offense/defense winners.

Automated generation depends on imported weekly statistics. Import the complete week before generating or reviewing winners.

Yearly and MVP awards

• Awards → Yearly shows manually created yearly awards.
• Awards → MVPs shows MVP award records.

Use the matching Discord award commands to display supported award types.

Custom Awards

Authorized commissioners open Administration → Custom Awards.

To create one:

1. Select Create.
2. Enter a unique Name, such as All Pro QB.
3. Add an optional Description.
4. Choose optional Positions to restrict eligible player selection.
5. Set Sort Order.
6. Choose Active or Inactive.
7. Save.

Custom award fields

• Name: unique within the league.
• Description: explains the honor.
• Positions: limits selectable players.
• Sort Order: controls display order.
• Active: determines whether the award is available in current workflows.

Edit changes the definition. Delete permanently removes the custom award definition and should be confirmed carefully.

Assign and remove player awards

Use the authorized award controls on award/player pages:

1. Choose the correct season, stage, and week/year.
2. Select the award category.
3. Select an eligible player.
4. Review the player/team.
5. Save.

Delete controls remove an award record, not the player.

Suspensions

Open Suspensions for active and historical suspension records.

Authorized commissioner actions can:

• Create a suspension.
• Set its player and terms.
• Resolve an active suspension.
• Reinstate a resolved suspension.
• Review active/historical state.

A NeonSportz suspension is a league-management record; it does not automatically enforce Madden roster/game behavior.

Suspension workflow

1. Confirm the player and league rule.
2. Create the suspension through the authorized control.
3. Record clear terms.
4. Verify it appears as active.
5. When satisfied, select Resolve.
6. Use Reinstate only if the record must become active again.

Common problems

• Award candidates missing: clear position restrictions and import player/stat data.
• POTW wrong: verify all weekly games and stats were imported before generation.
• Cannot manage: Edit League/Admin is required for commissioner award/suspension actions.
• Suspension not enforced in Madden: enforcement remains a commissioner responsibility.
