Recruitment Posts & Boosts

Configure listings, open teams, invites, bump cooldowns, boosts, and applicants.

Public recruitment directory

The Madden Leagues page lists recruitment posts. Visitors can search/filter listings and review open teams and league characteristics before requesting access.

The page can show a realtime VIEWING count. This is connected-viewer activity, not a count of applicants. Buy Boosts opens the shop.

Configure a recruitment post

Open Administration → Recruitment with Edit League/Admin permission.

Review and edit:

  • Name.
  • Description.
  • Console.
  • Crossplay status.
  • League category.
  • Gameplay rules style.
  • Skill level.
  • Advance time/frequency.
  • Language.
  • Money-league indicator.
  • Discord invite URL.
  • Open teams, derived from current member/team assignments.

Use a direct Discord invite matching discord.gg or discord.com/invite.

Write a useful description

Include:

  • Madden platform/crossplay expectations.
  • Advance schedule and timezone.
  • Gameplay rules and skill level.
  • Communication requirements.
  • Team-selection process.
  • Whether money is involved.
  • What applicants should do after joining Discord.

Do not place sensitive contact or payment data in a public description.

Generate a Discord invite

  1. Confirm the bot is installed.
  2. Open Recruitment.
  3. Choose Generate near the Discord invite.
  4. Select/confirm a suitable Discord channel if prompted by the workflow.
  5. Verify the generated URL opens successfully.

The bot needs permission to create an invite in the selected Discord context.

Mark teams open

A team is effectively available when no approved member is assigned. Keep Administration → Members assignments current. Do not advertise a team as open while its member remains assigned.

Bump the post

Bumping moves the post according to the recruitment cooldown rules.

  1. Wait until the displayed countdown reaches availability.
  2. Select the bump action or run /bump.
  3. Confirm the post’s new activity time.

Repeated attempts during cooldown do not bypass it.

Redeem a recruitment boost

  1. Purchase a boost with the same NeonSportz account you will use to redeem.
  2. Open Redeem Boosts.
  3. Select the exact league.
  4. Confirm redemption.
  5. Verify boosted status on the listing.

Boosts are consumed and temporarily increase listing visibility.

Applicant workflow

  1. Applicant opens the listing.
  2. Applicant reviews rules and open teams.
  3. Applicant signs in.
  4. Applicant chooses Join or uses /join.
  5. Commissioner reviews Administration → Join Requests.
  6. Commissioner approves and assigns a team under Members.

Recruitment troubleshooting

  • Listing not visible: complete required recruitment fields and verify service state.
  • Open teams wrong: correct member assignments.
  • Discord invite invalid: replace it with a current allowed Discord invite.
  • Cannot bump: wait for cooldown.
  • Boost missing: confirm purchasing account and unredeemed boost count.
