CFB Dynasty News
Write and share dynasty stories.
Write dynasty news
Approved dynasty members can publish their own stories. No commissioner approval is required. Visitors can read published posts; drafts are visible only to their author and authorized moderators.
- Open News in the dynasty menu.
- Choose Write a post.
- Enter a title, summary, and article body.
- Optionally select a category and add a cover image or images in the article.
- Save a draft to continue later, or publish the completed story.
- Open the published story to verify its text and images.
Published articles appear on the dynasty homepage and the news page, newest first. News does not depend on Madden imports or player statistics.
Find and edit your posts
Use My News from the news page to find your drafts and published stories. Writers may edit or delete their own posts. Commissioners with Edit Dynasty permission can moderate dynasty posts. Pending members cannot create, edit, or upload news content.
Save edits before leaving the editor. If a save fails, the editor keeps the draft open so you can correct the problem and try again. Deleting a post requires the confirmation shown by the editor and permanently removes that story. Leaving the dynasty or being removed keeps existing stories and images. The author is shown as a former member, and commissioners retain moderation access. Drafts remain private to commissioners after the author leaves. Rejoining does not restore ownership of those earlier posts.
Categories and images
Commissioners can create a category from the article editor. Category names must be unique within the dynasty; a post can only use its own dynasty’s categories.
Use the editor’s image controls for a cover image or an inline image. Uploads must pass the site’s image and file-size validation. Article formatting is sanitized before publication. Always review how uploaded media appears in the final story.
Share to Discord
Commissioners configure and test the News channel under Administration → Discord. On a published story, its author or a moderator can choose Send to Discord. Drafts cannot be shared.
The action queues a link and summary for the configured channel. Each story can be queued once. Updates do not ping everyone, users, or roles. If no channel is configured, select and save one before sharing. A queued message depends on the bot retaining access to that channel.
Troubleshooting
- Cannot write: confirm your join request has been approved.
- Cannot see a draft: sign in as its author or an authorized moderator.
- Image rejected: check its type, dimensions, and upload size.
- News failed to load: use Retry; a failed request is not an empty news feed.
- Discord message missing: test the saved channel and check bot permissions.
