Madden Game Channels & Threads

Create, update, notify, close, delete, and troubleshoot weekly Madden spaces.

Create Madden game channels

Use /channels create-games.

  1. Import the complete schedule.
  2. Confirm member assignments.
  3. Type /channels create-games.
  4. Fill the required naming format, privacy choice, and commissioner role options shown by Discord.
  5. Select the intended week when not using current week.
  6. Review optional bye/default-message behavior.
  7. Send once.
  8. Inspect the created category and every matchup channel.

Requires Manage Channels.

Create Madden game threads

Use /threads create-games.

  1. Open the parent channel where threads should live.
  2. Confirm the bot can create/send/manage threads there.
  3. Enter the naming format.
  4. Fill optional privacy, role, week, message, and bye behavior shown by Discord.
  5. Send.
  6. Inspect every thread and participant.

Requires Manage Threads.

Update game channels

Use /channels update-games after importing results.

The command compares the selected week with stored game status. Options can control notifying unplayed matchups and deleting/retaining completed spaces.

  1. Import completed stats/results.
  2. Verify game status on NeonSportz.
  3. Run the command for the exact week.
  4. Choose destructive options carefully.
  5. Verify remaining channels.

Update game threads

Use /threads update-games after results are imported. Depending on options, completed threads can be closed/deleted and unplayed matchups notified.

Delete channels

Use /channels delete-games.

  1. Select the exact week/category context.
  2. Decide whether the containing category should also be deleted.
  3. Review the command.
  4. Send once.
  5. Confirm only intended channels are gone.

Delete threads

Use /threads delete-games for the exact week. Deleted threads cannot be restored through NeonSportz.

Member missing from private space

  1. Confirm they signed into NeonSportz with the same Discord account.
  2. Confirm approved membership.
  3. Confirm correct team assignment.
  4. Confirm the game uses that team.
  5. Confirm bot can manage private permissions.
  6. Recreate/adjust the affected space.

Wrong spaces

  • Wrong matchups: correct/import Schedule first.
  • Wrong week: verify League Info and explicit week option.
  • Duplicate spaces: inspect existing spaces before rerunning create.
  • Nothing created: verify games exist and permissions.
  • Partial creation: inspect what exists before retrying to avoid duplicates.
