How a game becomes complete
A scheduled game remains unplayed until imported data sets a completed status. NeonSportz treats status values greater than the scheduled state as played. A 0–0 placeholder or team-stat row does not make a scheduled game complete.
Completed status controls:
- Whether player and advanced box-score tabs appear.
- Whether the result contributes to records and standings calculations.
- Whether Discord game-space update workflows consider the matchup complete.
- Whether eligible user Madden records can be created.
Data sources
- Matchup, date, stage, week: Schedule import.
- Score, played/simulated state: Game/statistics import.
- Team and player box scores: Statistics import.
- Preview/summary text: generated from stored game and league information.
- Point spread display and pick’em lock: commissioner Game Settings.
- GOTW selection/votes: NeonSportz web or bot actions.
Correcting a game
Authorized commissioner tools can update supported schedule or simulated fields. Correct the source in Madden when possible, then import again. Manual NeonSportz corrections do not change Madden and may be overwritten by a later import.
Verify a completed game
- Open Games → Schedule.
- Select the expected season, stage, and week.
- Confirm both teams, score, and status.
- Open the game.
- Review Team and Player tabs.
- Review Advanced data if available.
- Check the affected Standings and Stats pages.
- Check user records only if both teams had assigned members and the game was not simulated.
Missing information
An empty tab does not always indicate a defect. EA exports can omit advanced or player categories, and a player with no recorded statistics may have no row. Start by checking the imported week.
