Teams & Conferences

Create, reorder, assign, edit, rank, color, and safely delete CFB records.

Team pages

Select a team name to open its full page. Choose a season to see that year’s record, coach, rank, recent and upcoming games, and manually entered player statistics. Historical records come from saved game results and remain available after the dynasty advances.

Add a conference

  1. Open Administration → Conferences.
  2. Enter New conference name.
  3. Select Add.
  4. Confirm it appears.
  5. Use Move Up/Move Down to set display order.

Conference names should be unique and clear.

Reorder conferences

Use the up/down controls beside each conference. Reordering affects presentation, not team records.

Rename a conference

Edit Conference name and save through the available control. Verify assigned teams still appear under it.

Delete a conference

  1. Use the Assign Teams table to move its teams elsewhere or to No conference.
  2. Confirm no team still depends on it.
  3. Select the delete control.
  4. Read the confirmation.
  5. Confirm.

Deletion is permanent.

Add a dynasty team

  1. Open Administration → Teams.
  2. Use the create-team action.
  3. Select a school from the supported default-team catalog.
  4. Enter/verify dynasty-specific values.
  5. Save.

The table can include:

  • College and Name.
  • Abbreviation.
  • Conference.
  • Rank.
  • Total Wins, Losses, and Ties.
  • Primary and Secondary Color.

Edit a team

Open the team’s supported edit control and update only dynasty-specific information. Use NR/the supported unranked representation instead of inventing a numeric rank.

Assign teams to conferences

  1. Open Conferences.
  2. In Assign Teams, select one or more teams.
  3. Choose Move selected to….
  4. Select the destination conference or No conference.
  5. Choose Assign.
  6. Verify public Teams grouping.

Assign a team to a member

  1. Approve the member.
  2. Open Administration → Members.
  3. Find the user.
  4. Choose the correct team.
  5. Verify the public Teams page shows the owner/member.

An assigned team is no longer considered open for recruitment.

Delete a team

Before deleting:

  • Remove/reassign its member.
  • Review games that reference it.
  • Review conference assignment.
  • Confirm the team was created by mistake or is no longer used.

Then use Delete team and confirm. Deleting a team permanently deletes its games (and any saved votes), player statistics, and poll entries, and clears its member assignment. Saved playoff and award entries retain their season records but lose references to the deleted team.

Public Teams page

The public page can show owners, conference, rank, record, colors, and open status. If it is wrong, correct the administration data; there is no CFB import to overwrite/fix it.

Player season statistics and leaders

Select a college on Teams or the homepage standings to open its player statistics. Anyone can view; only administrators with Edit Dynasty permission can use Edit statistics. Add up to 20 uniquely named numeric columns (40 characters per name), then up to 150 player rows. Player names allow 100 characters; position is optional (20 characters). Enter season totals manually and save. This data is specific to CFB and does not use Madden exports or player records.

Values may be decimals from 0 through 1,000,000,000. Leave a cell blank when unreported; zero is a reported value. Each column’s highest value leads, with every tied player shown. Choose columns for which higher is better; automatic rate calculations and lower-is-better leaderboards are not supported. Removing a column and saving removes its values. Saving replaces the team’s whole season sheet. Empty sheets and missing leaders show explicit empty states.

Statistics default to the dynasty’s current calendar year. Use the team page’s Season selector to read or edit earlier totals without changing the dynasty’s current year. Advancing the year opens an empty sheet and keeps earlier totals. Save your work before changing Season; changing it closes the editor. Deleting a team also deletes its statistics.

Publish the Top 25

On narrow screens (under 1024 px), homepage games, the Top 25 and graphics appear above both conference standings columns. Wider screens keep the standings on either side.

On the dynasty homepage or Rankings, administrators select Publish current poll, choose teams for ranks 1–25, then Publish rankings. This saves the dynasty’s current season and week. Use the Season/Week selectors to browse history and Edit selected poll to correct a historical poll. Publishing replaces only that season/week’s full poll and preserves other weeks. There are no member ballots, automatic updates, scheduled poll rounds, or tie-breakers: administrators decide the order and publish whenever needed. A team and rank can each appear only once; teams must belong to this dynasty. Blank positions and fewer than 25 teams are allowed. Clear every position and publish to return to an empty poll.

The poll is separate from the existing manually maintained team Rank field, which may represent an in-game rank. Changing one does not overwrite the other. Deleting a team removes it from the poll without renumbering other teams. A new calendar year starts an empty poll and keeps prior seasons and weeks available through the selectors. The page shows movement from the preceding published week; Share graphic exports the displayed poll with school logos.
