Games, Results & Voting
Create/bulk-create, update, complete, simulate, delete, vote, and troubleshoot games.
Create games
Open Administration → Games after teams exist and Season/Week are correct.
For each game:
- Choose Away.
- Choose Home.
- Confirm teams are different.
- Set schedule information.
- Set Game of the Week status if intended.
- Save.
Use bulk create for a full slate, then inspect every row.
Public Games page
The public table shows games for selected context. Use it to verify teams, score, week, and status.
Update a result
- Find the exact game in Administration → Games.
- Open the update/edit action.
- Enter away score.
- Enter home score.
- Set completed status.
- Mark simulated when applicable.
- Save.
- Reload the public Games page.
A score without completed status may not count in downstream views.
Reschedule or correct
Edit the existing game rather than creating a duplicate. If teams must change after Discord spaces were created, correct the game and recreate/update the spaces.
Dynasty calendar
Open Calendar from the dynasty navigation at /dynasties/<abbrev>/calendar to see imported/manual games alongside commissioner-created dates. Anyone who can open the dynasty can view dates and click an event for its details, including its color-coded event type, date, recurrence, and description, even without joining. Commissioners with Edit Dynasty/Admin permission can add advances, scouting reminders, draft dates, and other one-off or recurring events. Use Create event type to add a custom type in a modal, select members/team owners and Discord reminder targets from API-backed selectors, and set an individual calendar color for each event. Month view renders events as solid color blocks, while week and list views keep the same event color. CFB event types do not include the Madden-only Trade Deadline preset.
Timed events are stored in UTC and shown in each member’s browser timezone; all-day dates remain date-only. Optional in-app, push, and Discord reminders can target joined members, selected team owners, or individual users. Discord reminders can use a selected channel and explicitly selected users, roles, or @everyone.
Delete a game
Use Delete only for an incorrect/duplicate record. Confirm no votes or Discord workflows still rely on it. Deletion cannot be undone through the site.
Winner voting
Signed-in eligible users can vote on supported scheduled games.
- Open the game.
- Select the predicted winner.
- Submit.
- Verify the choice.
Voting closes or becomes unavailable based on game state/configuration.
Pick’em counts
NeonSportz stores and summarizes votes. Counts are only NeonSportz votes, not emoji reactions or messages.
Game of the Week
Mark one supported matchup as GOTW in administration. /cfbgotw displays the selected game for a requested week.
Standings and rankings
Standings/records derive from manually completed games. Team rank is maintained in team administration. If standings are wrong, inspect every expected game for:
- Correct teams.
- Correct score.
- Completed status.
- Correct week/season.
- Duplicate entries.
Discord schedule
Use /cfbgames all for weekly output. The bot cannot show games that were not entered on NeonSportz.
