Members & Permissions

Approve requests, assign teams, grant each permission bit, review history, and remove.

Membership states

  • Pending request: user asked to join but is not approved.
  • Approved member: user belongs to the league.
  • Assigned member: approved member also has a Madden team.
  • Owner: user owns the paid service.

Discord server membership alone is not NeonSportz league membership.

Review join requests

  1. Open Administration → Join Requests.
  2. Review Name and Date Requested.
  3. Open available History/hopper-risk context.
  4. Select one request, or select multiple rows.
  5. Choose Approve/Approve Selected or Deny/Deny Selected.
  6. Confirm the action.
  7. For approved users, continue to Members and assign teams.

Use Select All and Clear carefully when processing in bulk.

Assign a team

  1. Open Administration → Members.
  2. Find the member.
  3. Open the Team selector.
  4. Choose an available team.
  5. Confirm the row updates.
  6. Open that team page and verify the member.

Assignment affects private game channels/threads and eligible user Madden records.

Permission bits

Permissions can be combined:

  • Create A Trade: submit trade requests.
  • Vote On Trade: vote on pending trades subject to settings.
  • Force A Trade: apply the supported commissioner trade override.
  • Edit League/Admin: access league administration and edit league configuration.

A value of no permission still allows normal approved-member features.

Grant permissions

  1. Open Members.
  2. Find the correct Discord user.
  3. Enable only the required permission switches.
  4. Save/close the editor.
  5. Ask the member to reload the league.
  6. Test the intended page/action.

NeonSportz checks permissions when a member opens a page or takes an action.

Review member history

Use the History control to inspect recorded membership context. Treat hopper-risk information as context, not an automatic rejection rule.

Remove a member

  1. Confirm whether they own the service.
  2. Contact support before removing the service owner.
  3. Open Members.
  4. Select Kick for the exact member.
  5. Read the confirmation.
  6. Confirm.
  7. Verify the team is now unassigned and recruitment reflects the opening.

Removal can be recorded in league history.

Ownership versus admin permission

Edit League/Admin allows broad management but is not the same as paid-service ownership. Contact support if the service owner’s access or Discord server association must change.

Common permission problems

  • Admin menu missing: grant Edit League/Admin and reload.
  • Cannot create trade: grant Create A Trade.
  • Cannot vote: grant Vote On Trade and check trade visibility/settings.
  • Cannot force decision: grant Force A Trade.
  • Private game space misses user: approve the same Discord account and assign the correct team.
  • Removed user still in Discord: NeonSportz removal does not kick them from Discord.
