Schedules, Calendar & Game Pages

Navigate league/team schedules and understand every game-detail tab.

League schedule

Open Games → Schedule. Use the available controls to select:

  • Season.
  • Stage.
  • Week.
  • Team.
  • Played/unplayed context.

Select a game row to open its detail page. If the table is empty, clear team/state filters and confirm the schedule was imported for that season and stage.

Calendar

Open Calendar from the league navigation at /leagues/<abbrev>/calendar. The shared calendar combines imported Madden games with commissioner-created league dates such as advances, scouting reminders, the draft, and the trade deadline.

Anyone who can open the league can view upcoming dates from the calendar and the League Home Upcoming Dates panel directly below league news, even without joining the league. Click an event to open its details, including its color-coded event type, date, recurrence, and description; commissioners can continue to an edit modal from there. Timed values are stored in UTC and displayed in each viewer’s browser timezone. All-day events stay on their selected calendar date.

Commissioners with Edit League/Admin permission can create one-off dates or weekly, biweekly, and monthly recurring series. Choose a built-in event type or use Create event type to add a custom type in a modal. Select members, team owners, Discord channels, and Discord mention targets from the available API options—no IDs need to be entered manually. Each event can also use its own calendar color; month view renders events as solid color blocks, and the same color identifies them in week and list views. Madden includes the Trade Deadline preset; CFB does not.

When editing or deleting a recurring date, choose whether to change only the selected occurrence or the current and future occurrences. Reminder jobs are rebuilt after edits and canceled when an event is deleted.

Use the schedule table when week/stage accuracy matters more than calendar date.

Playoff bracket

Open Games → Playoff Bracket to view the AFC and NFC postseason paths from the Wild Card round through the Super Bowl. Select a season from the page to review an imported historical bracket.

For the current season, NeonSportz uses the imported AFC and NFC seeds to show the projected Wild Card field and each conference’s top-seed bye before playoff games are available. Imported games replace those projections as the Madden schedule arrives. The bracket does not predict winners or later-round matchups; Wild Card teams are reseeded before the Divisional round, and unresolved slots remain marked TBD.

Historical seasons use their imported games and scores. They do not show seed numbers because NeonSportz does not keep a historical snapshot of each team’s seed.

Use Bracket display to show city and team names together, team names only, or cities only. Turn on Show member usernames to place each assigned league member beneath their team; teams without an assigned member simply omit that line. These choices apply to both the on-page bracket and its exported image.

Select Export bracket to create a high-resolution landscape PNG. The web app downloads the image, while supported mobile devices open their native sharing or save flow. If a bracket is incomplete, the exported image preserves its TBD slots.

Team schedule

Open Teams → choose a team → Schedule. It uses the same stored games but narrows them to one franchise. Use it to verify that an imported game belongs to both teams correctly.

Simulated games

Simulated status indicates a result was not a normal user-versus-user game. Simulated games:

  • Can still affect franchise standings and statistics depending on imported data.
  • Are excluded from NeonSportz cross-league user Madden records.
  • Can be identified on game and schedule views.

Commissioners should correct an incorrectly marked simulated status before relying on user records.

Commissioner schedule correction

When a matchup, date, or status is wrong:

  1. Confirm the Madden franchise source.
  2. Import the schedule or statistics again.
  3. If an authorized manual correction is still needed, use the game schedule/update control.
  4. Verify both teams’ schedules and the game page.
  5. Remember that a later import can overwrite manual values.

Game not marked played

  1. Confirm the final result synced to EA.
  2. Import the correct week of statistics.
  3. Confirm both scores and completed status.
  4. Refresh the page.
  5. Check Import Center for failure.

Do not infer completion from a nonzero score alone.

Duplicate or missing games

  • Missing: re-import the schedule for the correct stage.
  • Duplicate: confirm it is not a legitimate repeated matchup; use supported duplicate repair only after verification.
  • Wrong teams: correct the schedule source and import again.
  • Wrong week: compare Madden stage/week indexing and NeonSportz filters.
