Meet your new New England Patriots Staff!
After a horrific 4-13 season with first year HC Jerod Mayo at the helm, The Patriots were once again starting with a clean slate, finding staff for almost every position on the team. However, this coaching search didn't take long to kickoff. Just a day after the 49ers 32-28 thriller win over the Houston Texans in the Super Bowl, The Patriots hired offensive mastermind from the 49ers in Duke Olden with the hopes **** get the most out of QB Drake Maye and bring the Patriots back to the promised land that was once routine for the organization for decades with HC Bill Belichick and Tom Brady.
New HC Duke Olden was one of the hottest HC options on the market this year, especially after turning down interviews last season after an incredible year, hoping that he and the 49ers could finally get their long-awaited Super Bowl win before his departure. Olden is known for his unique schemes that make the quarterbacks life easy and the defense guessing every single week. The scheme one week could consist of a run heavy approach with play action, and the next week it could be fireworks on the turf, and QB Drake Maye is the perfect fit to run this offense and grow in his sophomore season in a big way.
New DC EJ Evans (pis following the exact career path he did just years ago when he was arguably known as the greatest CB of all time, being drafted by and winning a super bowl with the Los Angeles Rams, and then signing with the New England Patriots solidifying his GOAT status at the position, averaging a whopping 14 INTs a season with over 5 DPOYS. Once his playing career was over, it was uncertain what the next step would be. However just 4 years later, The Los Angeles Rams hired EJ Evans to be their new CBs coach and to say he did a good job would be an understatement. EJ Evans EXCELLED at his position and caught the eyes of many NFL teams for a potential DC job. However being in the same division as Duke Olden, playing him twice a year, Duke Olden immediately called EJ Evans asking if he wanted the spot and the offensive expertise of Duke Olden, and the ability to return to New England made this a prime spot for EJ Evans who will look to bring this new look Patriot defense back to their glory days and most importantly, make Christian Gonzalez the best CB in the league and maybe one of the best of all time.
Now to control the offense with new HC Duke Olden, his passing game coordinator with the 49ers, Zayn Bauer will be the Patriots new OC. Zayn Bauer, titled as unexperienced at the age of only 25, has obviously impressed HC Duke Olden during their 49ers offensive meetings, creating plays, improving the scheme, and everything he can do to help the team win, in order for Olden to have “full confidence” in Bauers ability to be an excellent offensive coordinator and lead the team.
Will this new coaching staff be able to bring Lombardi's back to Foxborough? Or will it be another failed experiment for the organization?
